Tsomgo Lake (also called Changu Lake) is a breathtaking glacial lake perched at 3,753 m (12,313 ft), just ~40 km from Gangtok on the way to Nathu La Pass. Sacred to locals, it freezes in winter and blooms with rhododendrons and primulas in spring, hosting yak rides and a small Shiva temple by its shore.
